In honor of GLOvember, I wanted to share with you the things in my life that make me GLO. For the rest of the month I will be sharing my favorite places, spaces, and products that promote a life of great health and positive well-being!
In every place that I have ever lived, I have created a space that I feel protected in, blessed in, and at peace. There is usually some nook and cranny in my room that inherits this responsibility for me and in my current home, this just happens to be my nightstand. Consider it an altar of some sorts, this space holds a lot of the items and energy that I find comfort in.
Along with being spiritual, I am quite superstitious! I am sure that I inherited this from my mom, whom won’t leave a place from a different door than she entered….and many other crazy things that I absolutely believe in :). Whatever the reason, I find it important to me to honor certain traditions in order to protect myself from negativity.
Someone once told me that when you perform certain tasks in a particular space…meditation in your favorite chair, yoga on your patio, prayer next to your bed…those spaces begin to take on the energy of whatever you are repeatedly doing there. I think this is why I feel so protected in this space. This is where I say my prayers, read my virtue cards, express my gratitude, journal, and search for peace.
If you don’t already have a sanctuary in your living space, it might be worth a try! This space is solely for you and delivers whatever purpose you assign it. I find it important for everyone to have a safe place to reflect and take cover when a little rejuvenation is in need.
- Picture of my lovely boyfriend (an incredible positive force in my life)
- Virtue cards!
- Essential oils to promote peace: Peppermint & Serenity
- Positive, uplifting reads (in this case, May Cause Miracles by Gabrielle Bernstein…Thanks Ash ;))
- Dream catcher (yes I believe these really do catch my bad dreams!)

Create a safe, peaceful space in your home and find refuge in the comfort that it may provide you 🙂
